The most comprehensive study to date of child hunger in Gaza, conducted by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), found that more than 54,600 children under 5 years old in Gaza may be acutely malnourished. Of that total, more than 12,800 are severely affected.
