U.S. Surges Air Refueling Aircraft Into Qatar

The U.S. Air Force has surged a significant number of air refueling aircraft from the U.S. into Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, possibly in preparation for some as-yet-unspecified military action. The tankers were first spotted on flight tracking websites flying from the U.S. to Europe on Sunday night, Sept. 28. “The tankers stopped at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Prestwick in the U.K. before continuing toward Al-Udeid Air Base near Doha, though the exact number expected to land remains unclear,” reported The Cradle on X on Sept. 30 in the afternoon. “Observers note the deployment may likely involve fighter jets, which typically do not appear on public tracking platforms.”
