Recently, U.S. Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna invited an AfD delegation from Germany led by co-leader Alice Weidel to Washington via the X platform. Weidel expressed her enthusiasm, but no official travel plans have been announced to date.
In preparation, the U.S. politician met with AfD member of the Bundestag Anna Rathert at the end of October. Rathert, a representative from Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia, also posted a photo of her meeting with Luna on Instagram and X.
