EIR Weekly: Development, Not War for the Americas

The latest issue of EIR weekly magazine has been released with an incredible line-up of in-depth material. We feature a detailed look at last week’s EIR emergency roundtable, “President Trump: Don’t Do It! An Alternative American Policy for the Caribbean,” which brought together experts from across the world to warn against an impending war in the Caribbean. An important part of our coverage of this situation is that an alternative does indeed exist—that of large-scale economic development for the whole region as the way to eliminate the drug trade for good.

After this, we come to our next feature section: Dark Finance. This includes the latest article by Harley Schlanger, “What Was Jeffrey Epstein, Really? Part Two,” which is an absolute must-read. Despite all the debate about Epstein, virtually none of it includes his role at the center of developing the most insidious financial practices of the past 40 years. This is peeled back in Schlanger’s latest article, as well as the related connections to organized crime. This section is topped off with a brief update on the blowout of the AI and crypto bubbles, soon to be followed by the private credit bubble as well.

Next, we feature an EIR exclusive interview with the President of the Kansas Cattlemen’s Association, Jesus Holguin Cazares, who speaks about the current dilemma facing farmers and ranchers in America. If major changes aren’t made in addressing these problems, Cazares says, there won’t be a next generation of farmers in the U.S.
