This week’s issue of EIR magazine has been released, with a feature package on the Nov. 8-9 Solidarité & Progrès conference in Paris, headlined “Shift the World from Conflict to Collaboration.” It includes the first four speakers who kicked off the event: Solidarité & Progrès President Jacques Cheminade, New York Congressional candidate Jose Vega, former U.S. Senate candidate for New York Diane Sare, and Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche. With other speeches from Europe, the United States, Central America, and Africa, this conference truly represented an international conspiracy aimed at bringing the best from around the world to intervene in the degenerating situation inside Europe and the West as a whole.
Also of significance in this week’s issue, is an EIR exclusive interview with Israeli peace activist and negotiator Gershon Baskin. Most recently, Baskin was the lead go-between for Hamas and the White House in the ceasefire deal brokered by the Trump administration; his insights into the current pressures and pitfalls in the situation are unmatched. He also shares his view of why the economic development of the entire region is the only means by which lasting peace can be achieved.
