Italian Vice Premier Accuses Germany and France of Sabotaging Trump's Plan

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has accused Germany and France of warmongering in Ukraine. Talking to journalists on the sidelines of a party event in Milan, he said, “If Brussels, London, Paris and Berlin let Trump work, they do the right thing. But one gets the impression that some people in Paris and Berlin have internal problems and want to continue the war, perhaps to sell weapons.”

Salvini also sharply criticized the European Union. “I notice that the war has been going on for four years and the EU has done nothing but pay dozens of billions of euros, issue sanctions, and, probably, reading media reports, has fed corruption by hundreds of millions of euros for people who opened accounts abroad, paid prostitutes.”
