Netanyahu's Diary Reveals Frequent Meetings and Phone Calls with Tony Blair, Lindsey Graham

Benjamin Netanyahu’s diary for 2024 reveals frequent meetings with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Republican senators in Washington, among other things. The diary was published last week, with redactions, at the request of a nonprofit group called Hatzlacha, which works to provide public access to information in the public interest, reported Haaretz.

According to Haaretz’s account of the diary, Blair and Netanyahu met seven times. No content of their meetings is reported.

The account of the seven meetings and nine phone calls involving Graham is much more interesting, however, as Graham was opposing the Biden Administration’s half-hearted effort to restrict the flow of some weapons to Israel for its genocidal war in Gaza.

On May 8, the day after a phone call with Netanyahu, Graham participated in a Senate appropriations committee hearing, with then-U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Q. Brown Jr., on delays in U.S. arms deliveries to Israel.
