A number of those who participated in and have been named in the ongoing corruption scandal in Ukraine are fleeing the country, while some of the most powerful may soon be indicted. This, just as a true settlement to the NATO proxy war in Ukraine that will represent the genuine interests of Russia and Ukraine appears to be developing.
A dismayed issue of The Economist reported in a Nov. 17 article, “A Huge Corruption Scandal Threatens Ukraine’s Government”: “Knives are out for Andriy Yermak, Mr. Zelenskyy’s intimidating chief of staff, who has alienated both friends and enemies by monopolizing power and access to the president. He has not been accused of any involvement in the corruption scheme. But as the architect of Mr. Zelenskyy’s system, he is vulnerable because of the scale of the scandal. His embattled supporters say he has been unfairly demonized.”
Yermak, who has thuggishly carried out some of Zelenskyy’s tasks, has been a hard-line proponent of continuing the NATO proxy Ukraine-Russia.
