EIR Weekly: When Legal Norms Fail, Mobilize for Justice

The latest issue of EIR, Dec. 12, 2025 has been released, featuring a must-read series of articles on some of the crucial issues facing mankind today. Leading off the issue is an urgent article by Editor-in-Chief Helga Zepp-LaRouche, “Withdraw from NATO! New National Security Strategy Requires New Security Architecture.” This powerful statement is being circulated internationally for endorsement from all layers of society.

Next, we feature a special package on Southwest Asia, led off by remarks from Prof. Richard Falk to a recent meeting of the International Peace Coalition. Professor Falk gives a report on the recently concluded Gaza Tribunal, which he initiated as “an important civil society initiative” at a time when global institutions have become paralyzed. Next is an interview with Israeli historian Avi Shlaim, whose expertise in the history of the region is unparalleled. Shlaim expresses his belief that only a fundamental change in mentality, with Palestinians given the ability to live with dignity and freedom, can give this region a peaceful future. Following this, we include a speech by Odile Mojon, the representative of the Institut Schiller in France, who discussed the history of Nelson Mandela’s fight against apartheid and why a similar “soul searching” is needed today over the issue of Palestine. Concluding this section is a shocking article by Karel Vereycken, which exposes the dark outlook of a key segment of the Silicon Valley tech lords. Between plans of complete social and political control, and fantasies of privatized city-states, Vereycken shows how some of these types see the potential “new Gaza” as a test case for the direction the world as a whole should go.
