Embattled Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy traveled to Warsaw after his trip to Brussels that had failed to secure the hoped-for confiscation of Russian financial assets by EU leaders. It is the first meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki since his election, and the relations of the two countries have been frosty since then. They both put on a good face on this occasion, of course, with Poland agreeing to deliver MiG-29 jets to Ukraine. At the press conference, Zelenskyy also said that he had delivered information to Western intelligence about the locations of Russia’s Oreshnik missiles that will be stationed in Belarus, Poland’s neighbor. In August, Nawrocki had verbally attacked Ukraine for not expressing “gratitude” for Poland’s help. There is still the failure of Ukraine to recognize the atrocities committed by Stepan Bandera during the Second World War.
