It was already clear to anyone with a brain, but His Majesty’s Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) put it in writing on December 5, 2025: British strategic interests require that Ukraine keep fighting Russia, no matter the cost to Ukraine and its people. For two unconscionable reasons: to buy time for the UK itself to rearm for its intended war against Russia, and as a lever for the UK to regain its imperial position as the top dog in Europe.
