Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) called out the British today, as being behind two particular schemes to manipulate U.S. President Donald Trump. In their statement, “The British elite ignores the reality in Ukraine,” they claim that, “according to information received by the SVR, the top leadership of Great Britain, in contacts with the EU,” are pushing through the grab of “Russian money frozen in the Belgian depository Euroclear.” But this is not only to finance two more years of a proxy war, it claims: “The British hope that if this money does not go to Washington, the White House will lose interest” in pursuing a Russia-Ukraine peace deal. That is, Trump’s business interests exceed any concern about a strategic showdown with Moscow.
Specifically: “High-ranking British officials bring to the attention of Brussels European bureaucrats inaccurate information that D. Trump allegedly seeks to reach a compromise with Moscow in pursuit of financial gain. It is alleged that Russia promised the White House to direct its sovereign assets, immobilized in Europe, to the implementation of joint projects.” Grab the money and Trump will end his interference.
