Russia's Spy Chief Warns of Europe's Attempt To Sabotage Peace Agreement

The head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, in a Dec. 19 interview with TASS, underlined the danger in presenting Moscow with a peace proposal designed to be dead on arrival: “We see that in recent weeks, both the Kiev regime and its European patrons, contrary to common sense, have been trying to disavow those, in my opinion, good and fair compromises proposed in the so-called peace plan of Trump….

“But there is, of course, one big flaw in their calculations. This flaw is on the battlefield. We can clearly see that the Russian army is constantly advancing, liberating several settlements, including cities, every week.” With losses in manpower and equipment, plus desertions, “the day will come when the Armed Forces of Ukraine will lose the ability to conduct defense in an organized manner and will be forced to surrender. And then no one will be able to interfere with the peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.”
