Denmark’s top military commander in the Arctic pushed back against claims that Greenland is facing an imminent security threat from Russia or China, contradicting the narrative repeatedly put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump, Politico EU reported yesterday.
“No. We don’t see a threat from China or Russia today,” Major General Søren Andersen, commander of Denmark’s Joint Arctic Command in Greenland, said in an interview. “But we look into a potential threat, and that is what we are training for.”
