The same night that Russia’s Oreshnik hypersonic missile struck targets in Lviv—the details of which have not yet been made public by Ukrainian authorities—Russia launched a swarm of Geran drones at targets in Kiev. They set fire to two major thermal power plants, the Tets-4 and Tets-6, with major consequences.
Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel, according to RT, that some 6,000 apartment buildings in the Ukrainian capital, half of the total, have been left without central heating, and therefore “I appeal to residents of the capital who have the opportunity to temporarily leave the city, where there are alternative sources of power and heat, to do so.”
