Einav Zangauker, mother of released hostage Matan Zangauker and a vocal leader the last two years against Netanyahu’s policies, announced yesterday that she is “entering politics,” that she “will do the best she can for ordinary citizens,” and that her “life’s mission” now is to remove Netanyahu’s government. Doing so, she said, is “a necessary condition for beginning the repair of our state and our people.”
She has been agitating for a fully independent investigation of the Oct 7 failures, something opposed by Netanyahu. Speaking on the talk show of Channel 12 television host Ofira Asayag, she said: “Fixing the country can only be done by us—the citizens.”
