Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to release the two Russians who were on board the Marinera oil tanker. She stated today:
“In response to our request, U.S. President Donald Trump decided to release two Russian citizens from the crew of the Marinera tanker, which was previously detained by the U.S. side during an operation in the North Atlantic. We welcome this decision and express our gratitude to the U.S. leadership.”
