Trump and European Leaders Set to Clash at Davos

Financial Times is reporting that European leaders slated to travel to the Davos Economic Form this week have scrapped their “position papers” on Ukraine and are now focused on discussing the issue of Greenland’s future with the US President. The Danish Government, which is the country most directly affected by any U.S. takeover of Greenland, will boycott the meeting entirely. While British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in a speech on January 18 urged that the conflict be resolved through dialogue, it also appears that the European leaders will be ready to declare any counter-measures to the sanctions threatened by President Trump if they do not willingly accept a takeover of Greenland by the United States.
