Israel and U.K. Pushing for Expedited Schedule on Hitting Iran?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is flying into Washington a week earlier than planned in order to meet with President Donald Trump on Iran. A White House official told Axios that, two days ago, Netanyahu asked the White House to move his scheduled visit up from Feb. 18 to Feb. 11. Netanyahu’s office stated that he “believes that any negotiations must include limits on Iran’s ballistic missiles and an end to support for the Iranian axis.” Whatever that statement is meant to convey, it seems that Netanyahu was not happy with earlier that day (last Friday) either with the U.S.-Iran talks in Oman or by Trump’s comment that the U.S. and Iran had “very good talks”—or both. Apparently, the generic “end to support for the Iranian axis” was put into jeopardy, necessitating Netanyahu getting to Washington sooner than later.
