Iranian drone strikes on Amazon Web Services (AWS) facilities in the UAE and Bahrain this week mark what may be the first military attack on U.S. data infrastructure, reports FT, citing Fars.
AWS confirmed two UAE facilities were “directly struck,” knocking out redundancy systems and taking down banking and other consumer services across the region. A Bahrain facility was also hit. AWS advised customers to migrate workloads out of the Middle East immediately.
