Helga Zepp-LaRouche appeared on Pakistan television’s “Unfold” news interview program Saturday, March 7, and, with a very short time available to her, laid out three important statements about the unprovoked and escalating U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran. “This is the worst thing that could have happened to humanity; this can lead to a civilizational collapse, or to World War III, to nuclear war,” she said, while appealing to all countries and people of good will to oppose it.
Second, the European responses to the war are not fixed, but shifting. Spain’s Sánchez government is resolutely opposed to it; Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz, initially backing Trump’s and Netanyahu’s war, has been shocked into pulling back his support. And third: “A systemic collapse worse than that of 2008 could occur” with the physical economies of Europe and the United States badly weakened by arrogant misleadership before the war. Her answer: “Do what Franklin D. Roosevelt did.” Bank separation through Glass-Steagall acts in major countries; and a national bank for credit in every country, like the U.S. Reconstruction Finance Corp. and Germany’s Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) bank.
“But,” Zepp-LaRouche said, “governments are not yet preparing for this.” While she spoke, a banner ran underneath: “Oil price could reach $150.”
Monday night at 8:00 ET, LaRouche Presidential candidate Diane Sare makes the case that in such an emergency, “Only the American people can end this war!” Sare will be joined by UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter, TV talk show host Garland Nixon, and LaRouche Congressional candidate Jose Vega, who is working with Sare to bring forth many independent candidates for Congress to lead a mobilization. Also joining her webcast will be Keaton Weiss, founder of Due Dissidence.
“One week ago,” Diane Sare’s message says, “the United States and Israel launched an ill-conceived and illegal war of aggression against the nation of Iran. This war is not merely directed at Iran but is directed, as Pete Hegseth recently admitted, against what he calls the ‘Global South,’ which actually is the Global Majority.
“Operation Epic Fury is already unleashing many unforeseen consequences—that is, unforeseen if you are operating from the standpoint of a messianic, delusional, pseudo-religious outlook, but not unforeseen if you view the world as Lyndon LaRouche did, from the standpoint of multiply connected dynamic processes within a lawfully ordered universe.
“The Congress has abdicated responsibility when both Houses voted against enforcing the War Powers Resolution, which merely reflects the constitutional mandate in Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, mandating that the Congress, and not the President, must determine whether or not to declare war. Therefore, the responsibility to change the course of history of the United States by ending this insanity falls to the American people.
“The situation is rapidly spiraling out of control. Many physical economic disruptions are already occurring, not only the price of gas but also shortages of LNG, which cannot be automatically turned back on, and massive inflation of fertilizer, for which 45% of the urea comes from the Middle East.
“The entire Congress needs to be purged, with perhaps the exception of the handful of representatives like Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna, who have stood up both on the Epstein criminal class and against the Iran war. …
