The Pentagon is readying cooperation with tech companies to prepare AI operations to spy on Chinese power facilities and other “sensitive” networks. Asked about this at a Foreign Ministry press conference, spokeswoman Mao Ning said on March 2, according to Global Times: “We have noted relevant reports. The U.S. has long been the biggest source of instability in cyberspace. Even long before the development of AI, it had already carried out cyberattacks and pre-positioned malware against China’s critical infrastructure.”
