A new Gallup poll has found that Americans think their financial situation is worse today than it has been at any time in the past 25 years, Axios reported. Fully 55% of those polled said their situation is getting worse, a number that is up from 53% in 2025 and 47% in 2024, and the highest since 2001. The most important issue people were facing was the overall cost of living increases.
