Top Aid to Polish President Is Put on the Mirotvorets List

Relations between Poland and Ukraine are becoming more and more tense. Polish state television TVP reported that Zbigniew Bogucki, chief of staff for Polish President Nawrocki, has been put on the infamous Mirotvorets hit list. The reason cited by Mirotvorets is that Bogucki used the term “Eastern lesser Poland” to refer to parts of western Ukraine.

However, TVP reported that “Bogucki has said he supports Ukrainians fighting Russia, but opposes the veneration of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), wartime nationalist groups linked to the World War II‑era massacres of Polish civilians in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia.”
