The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that self-styled “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth is considering “inviting” (ordering) hundreds of senior military personnel back for another speech at Quantico for a follow-up to last September’s speech to hundreds of flag officers on “manliness” and “lethality,” as well as physical and grooming standards. Hegseth would likely use the venue once more to outline his priorities, unnamed officials told the Journal. One of the officials said Hegseth would also release a new set of directives to the force.
The Journal couldn’t determine when the meeting would be or whether it would include all serving admirals and generals. “We have nothing to announce at this time,” said Pentagon spokesman Joel Valdez.
