“What would Donny do?” That was the topic of former UN weapon inspector Scott Ritter’s rant today, which was posted to his Substack.
Ritter began by discussing the catastrophe of Trump’s second presidential term, including the failure to secure a peace with Russia, the new wars in the Middle East, and the economic downturn. The constant lying by American politicians—not just Trump—has paralyzed people. Ritter then asked: who can we turn to in a time like this? The Democratic and Republican Parties, Ritter observed, have seesawed back and forth putting one incompetent person after another to hold the presidency.
In discussing third-party alternatives, Ritter mentioned LaRouche Independent Diane Sare’s presidential campaign for 2028 as a meaningful alternative to the madness of the current administration:
“Diane Sare is running for President. She’s announced her presidency. So, if you’re going to fire Donald Trump, maybe hire Diane Sare. “You’re hired!” And if she doesn’t do the job, “You’re fired!” It’s that easy. That’s what democracy is all about.”
Ritter then pointed to other such potential replacements, particularly those on the right, who have reneged on their prior support for Trump and denounced him for his decision to launch a war with Israel against Iran:
“But let’s say you don’t like Diane. I do, but let’s say you don’t. Who could take Donald Trump’s place? Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and Joe Kent. These are people who are out there who have looked at Donald Trump and said, we don’t want any part of this. So automatically, they’re more qualified to be President than Donald Trump. Hell, my dog Maverick is more qualified to be President than Donald Trump!”
Of all the people Ritter named, Diane Sare is the only one to have declared her candidacy. He concluded by saying that everyone has the right to vote, the power to vote, and that people should exercise their power as citizens to create a serious movement in the nation.
Before this, two days ago, Diane Sare had joined Scott Ritter and podcaster Cynthia Pooler in a [discussion](https://youtu.be/F2er4L3hhbo?is=CDWY5zQd54UHKCeC ) to defeat the U.S.-Israel military and technology merger Section 1217 of the NDAA, which has yet to pass in the Senate. Ritter, along with other former military and intelligence figures, has adamantly opposed the NDAA and stated that anyone who supports the merger should be thrown out of office. Diane Sare and her colleagues have put the NDAA merger front and center, campaigning in the last weeks in the streets of NYC against it, while signing up people who are fed up with the Epstein Class’ occupation of the United States.
