The Kiev regime is using British-made drones supplied directly by the British government to attack targets inside Russia. An Aug. 15 report in The Times of London identifies a jet-powered attack drone called the Nyan, manufactured by a subsidiary of BAE Systems, as having recently been used to attack a target inside Russia’s Belgorod region. The Times mentions that a second type of drone is also being used but doesn’t name it, out of “security” concerns.
Air Marshal Greg Bagwell, a former UK director of joint warfare, told The Times that the involvement of British munitions placed new pressure on Moscow. “Oil revenue is so critical to the Russian economy, so these attacks could have a far greater strategic effect than conventional missile strikes,” Bagwell said. Nor are the British concerned that they might be playing a game of nuclear-armed chicken with Russia. “Russia has been very effective at keeping the West nervous about hitting it too hard. These attacks mean the UK is effectively signalling to Russia and our allies that we’re not [nervous] any more,” an unnamed senior defense source said.
