President Trump has denied reports that Iranian forces damaged U.S. warplanes during an Iranian missile strike Tuesday night on a US base in Jordan. Unnamed “people with direct knowledge of the matter” told CBS News on Wednesday night that several U.S. F-15 jets were lightly damaged and an A-10 destroyed by Iran’s missile attack on the Muwaffaq Salti airbase in Jordan. According to the same CBS report, U.S. forces in Jordan launched more than 30 Patriot missiles defending against the Iranian strikes.

“Nope,” the president said when NewsNation’s Robert Sherman asked whether there is “any truth” to the reports. “None whatsoever. No damage. No, nothing,” Trump told Sherman over the phone.
