A 24-year-old Kansas man was arrested Oct. 17 for threatening to shoot President Donald Trump ahead of his Oct. 19 campaign rally. Trump was scheduled to speak at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kansas in support of Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS)], according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas.

Suspiciously, suspect Jaden Read posted comments on a KAKE News article post on Facebook. KAKE News is an ABC-affiliated television station based in Wichita, Kansas. Read wrote: “Let’s shoot Trump honestly, where’s our shooter? I’m tired of living this money life.” He followed immediately with a second comment: “I just got a 308 and 305 round and I’m killing this pedo.”

Under a separate KWCH 12 News post, he wrote: “Can we shoot him in Kansas please I will myself,” and also: “IK where your speech will be. Already mapped out roofs around. Finna get kirked since yall couldn’t help him.” The latter is a reference to Charlie Kirk.
