Ukraine Acting President Volodymyr Zelensky was treated to a gala time in London today, featuring a meeting with King Charles, receiving assurances of military support. No. 10 Downing Street last night issued a statement self-described as, “to underline the UK’s rock-solid support for Ukraine for as long as it takes.”

The Ukrainian president received an unprecedented honor guard on his arrival at No. 10, made up of troops from the Irish Guards, amid what the Prime Minister described as “dark and difficult days” for his country. Speaking in the House of Commons ahead of his meeting with Zelensky, Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he would seek to restore Donald Trump’s support for Ukraine.
