An Iranian Foreign Ministry delegation arrived in Doha yesterday but Iranian officials stressed that no talks with the US were planned. According to Tasnim, the Iranian delegation’s visit was aimed at following up on recent negotiations with the Qatari side, and no talks with the US were on the agenda.
“We see no need to meet with the Americans at present. Our conditions are clear, and mediators are continuing their consultations regarding them,” Araghchi told Al Jazeera on Saturday. Araghchi said on Sunday that discussions were now focusing on a two-day plan to re-open the Strait of Hormuz.
