The French oligarchy’s leak sheet, Le Canard Enchainé, reported on Oct. 28 that former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, the favorite president of the banks and in particular of those running Lazard Frères, is very active behind the scenes. He is meeting the main right wing party leaders at his Paris office, where he used to receive people while president.

The message: “Marine Le Pen will win the presidential elections… and it is thus important to prepare the follow-up.” That “follow-up” is to build a right-wing coalition, in particular with people from the Les Républicains party, to “rebalance” the alliance with an “all powerful” National Rally, the party of Le Pen. Among those with whom Sarkozy met was presidential candidate Bruno Retailleau, a former interior minister.
