Officially, the Iranian government is taking no position on the U.S. elections. Tehran does not formulate its policies around electoral developments in other countries, said Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, reported PressTV. He said U.S. elections were a matter for the American people, adding, “We make decisions and take action based on what we determine to be in the interests of our country and its national security, without being influenced by external factors.”

Unofficially, some Iranian political figures see the Democratic sweep as a defeat for President Trump and his war policies. “Conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and we endorse this message,” Parliament Speaker Mohamad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote on X shortly after midnight EST. “If the US govt betrays their public will to serve international paymasters and blackmailers, it will learn our NO comes with a Nightmare.”
