According to a Jan. 3 article in the Times of Israel, Israel’s Channel 12 TV reported that the government “is considering significantly restricting the amount of humanitarian aid entering Gaza once U.S. President-elect Donald Trump enters office on January 20.” The argument for escalating the genocide is that Hamas has managed to maintain “governing capabilities in Gaza … by controlling much of the humanitarian aid that enters the Strip.” Therefore, aid has to be brought to a full stop.
No sources or documentation are provided by the Times of Israel for their report, but the policy of thoroughly ethnic cleansing Gaza and the West Bank of all Palestinians is well-known to be the view of the most extreme elements of the Netanyahu government.
