President Trump sounded on Saturday like he wants to create a pretext to declare victory and walk away. “We still have to take care of, I would say, one or two sites, but we can do that in 10 minutes. So, we have that plan,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “You probably could look at Pickaxe Mountain, you have to take care of that. We can do that all very quickly,” he added. By all accounts, the facility that Iran has built inside Pickaxe Mountain is under about 300 feet of granite, making it virtually impossible to destroy.

Trump also said the US was not in a hurry to reach an agreement, claiming that American military operations had destroyed much of Iran’s navy, air force, air defenses, military equipment, and nuclear infrastructure.
