Peter Navarro, Trade and Manufacturing Adviser to the President, was tap-dancing the two-step today, after he had said last night on Fox TV, that the China “trade deal is over,” and President Trump tweeted this morning, “The China Trade Deal is fully intact. Hopefully they will continue to live up to the terms of the agreement.” Faced with Trump’s clear rebuttal, Navarro said today that he was taken out of context. However, taken in context, his words and meaning were very clear.
