The Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, made up of representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the OSCE, with the participation of representative of the Donetsk and Luhansk breakaway republics, met yesterday by video-conference, with all sides agreeing that the July 2020 ceasefire agreement should be adhered to. “The extraordinary meeting of the TCG was devoted to the discussion of the general security situation in the conflict zone and the issues of effective implementation of measures to strengthen the ceasefire against the background of the increasing number of its violation and ongoing information warfare in the media space,” the statement by OSCE Special Representative in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group Heidi Grau reads, reported TASS. “During the meeting, the participants reiterated their commitment to the ceasefire regime. Discussions will continue at the regular TCG meeting to be held in a week’s time,” Grau remarked.
Immediately afterwards the regime in Kiev accused the Donetsk People’s Republic (D.P.R.) of violating the ceasefire by shelling across the line of contact and killing one Ukrainian soldier. The regime also charged that the shelling cut off water to 50 communities along the line of contact around Donetsk.
