TASS reported that in the past week, the number of fatalities have reached a record high for the fourth straight week, which was 5,417.
In the entire nation, 25,018 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were registered in the last 24 hours. The total number of infections has reached 5,958,133 cases, and 5,341,231 patients have recovered, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told journalists on July 18.
“According to TASS’s calculations, the coronavirus spread coefficient over seven days has decreased from 1.04 to 1.02. At the same time, for the most part of the week it has not surpassed 1.0.”
