Russia Makes More Assertions About U.S.-Run Biological Labs in Ukraine

In an update on Russian findings on the U.S.-run biological labs in Ukraine, the chief of Russia’s radiation, chemical and biological protection force, Igor Kirillov, compared the potential threat from the labs to the coronavirus pandemic. “The current situation with the distribution of pathogenic biomaterials from Ukraine to European countries could result in death and create a hotbed of epidemiological instability, the scale of which would be comparable to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Kirillov said, reported TASS.

Kirillov also reported that Russia has found information that the U.S. tested drugs on Ukrainian service members that have not been approved for use in the U.S. and Canada. “We have already mentioned the studies that were part of the UP-8 project, which involved more than 4,000 people,” he said. “According to data published in the Bulgarian media, about 20 Ukrainian soldiers died and another 200 were hospitalized during experiments in the Kharkov laboratory alone.”
