The first cohort of Ukrainian troops, “many of whom have no previous military experience,” reported the Associated Press, have arrived in the U.K. for training, the London Ministry of Defense announced in a July 9 statement. They are there, according to news media reports, as part of now-outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s promise to train 10,000 Ukrainian troops every 120 days.
The problem is that, as admitted by senior officials of the Kiev regime, the Ukrainian army is losing troops at the rate of 100-200 per day. If that rate were sustained over the same 120-day period, that would put Ukrainian losses at 12,000-24,000 troops. Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov claimed today that Russian strikes killed some 550 Ukrainian troops in Kharkiv and Donetsk.
