After McDonald’s pulled out of Russia, their operation was rebranded as “Vkusno i Tochka” restaurants ("Just Tasty"), according to RT. The Russian “Happy Meal,” starting this December, has been redesigned. The Russian business daily RBK reports that Vkusno i Tochka’s new version of the “Happy Meal,” besides a choice of nuggets, cheese snacks, classic burger, salad, carrot sticks, and apple slices, will replace McDonald’s plastic commercial toys, with one of fourteen different books comprised of puzzles and mazes, produced by the Clever publishing house. Vkusno i Tochka adds that these are designed, as RT describes it, to “contribute to the development of memory, logic, and attention span of children.”
