Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger Bring Ukraine's Support for Terrorism to UN

Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger have asked the United Nations Security Council to address Ukraine’s support of international terrorism in the Sahel region. The request follows statements by Andriy Yusov, of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, announcing Kiev’s involvement in the July 25-27 attack against the security forces of Mali and members of the Wagner Private Military Company that was supporting them.

The three governments delivered a letter to the President of the UN Security Council, posted by Mali’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stating that they “oppose and strongly condemn the open and acknowledged support of the Government of the Republic of Ukraine for international terrorism, which cannot be justified.”
