Interviewed on the Russia’s “Soloviev Live” TV Channel, Mikhail Kovalchuk, the head of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute,” said that the United States is more afraid of Russia than of China, since it is the only nation with weapons that could turn the United States into radioactive ash. He noted furthermore that the U.S. was the only country in the world to launch a nuclear strike.
