Russia’s Kirov region, about 1,500 km northeast of Kiev, recorded the first drone strikes against it yesterday. Five drones attacked the city of Kotelnich; no injuries were reported, the city’s Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS) told TASS. Earlier, regional governor Alexander Sokolov reported that a UAV had attacked an oil-storage tank in Kotelnich. According to Avia.pro, at least three drones hit storage tanks at the facility, setting them on fire. These strikes are reported to be the first cases of Ukrainian UAVs being used against the Kirov region, raising concerns about the expansion of Ukraine’s strike zone, it said.
