Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s foreign minister, spoke to journalists about why Hungary will veto Ukraine’s membership in NATO. According to TASS, he said that “Hungary’s stance is clear: NATO membership for Ukraine is impossible.” TASS explained that “in his opinion, the admission of the Kiev government would pave the way to the third world war.” Szijjarto added: “I think that anyone with a rational approach to the subject would not want such a hazard to be created.”
