Attorneys general from 11 states filed an anti-trust suit Nov. 27 against three of the top money-management companies in the world for their move into the U.S. coal sector and attempts to pressure coal companies to contract to meet net-zero anti-carbon goals. The defendants are BlackRock Inc., State Street Corp., and the Vanguard Group, Inc.
The suit is an international signal of resistance against this “financial complex,” which is notorious for functioning as an economic hit squad in other sectors, outstandingly the military-industrial, agricultural, and health sectors. It is reported that the three cited firms have combined assets of $24 trillion under management.
