Al Jazeera’s live update page reported on Jan. 4 that Israeli strikes killed 26 more Palestinians since dawn this morning, local time, bringing the death toll to more than 150 over the past two days.

But bombs and bullets aren’t the only means of killing. Hypothermia has become an acute threat in Gaza, particularly for the youngest of children. Dr. Mohammad Abu Tayyem, a pediatrician at Nasser Hospital in Gaza, told Al Jazeera that based on the number of babies already in intensive care, he expects that more children will be admitted to the hospital emergency departments seeking treatment for hypothermia.
