Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated at a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine that Russia had good reason believe that the U.S. and the U.K. were behind a recent attack on a compressor station in southern Russia, which provides gas to the TurkStream pipeline, according to a report in TASS.
“We have every reason to believe that the attack on the TurkStream infrastructure was carried out on a tip-off by Washington and London, who are interested in getting the EU hooked on expensive liquified natural gas from the US. The thing to remember is that it is these two countries that prevent the launch of an impartial international investigation into the September 2022 terrorist attack on the Nord Stream pipelines. The conclusions are clear, so to speak,” the Russian envoy added.
