The Financial Times editors just couldn’t restrain themselves, and quickly retorted to Putin’s statement that “a portion of Western elites” are hell-bent on maintaining instability and wrecking the U.S.-Russian dialogue by repeating the shopworn slander that Trump is just repeating the Putin line. “His [Putin’s] comments come as U.S. President Donald Trump has adopted many of the Kremlin’s views, clashing with Ukraine and its European allies at the UN and within the G7 over calling Russia the aggressor.”
