Ukrainian long-range drones struck one of Russia’s biggest oil refineries late Sunday, Feb. 2, for the second time in three days, AP wrote yesterday, citing Ukrainian officials. The attack hit a refinery, one of Russia’s 10 largest, in the Volgograd region. It processes close to 6% of the country’s oil, an unnamed official in Ukraine’s Security Service said.
Ukrainian drones also targeted a major natural gas processing plant in Russia’s Astrakhan region, the security service official said. The official claimed that the attack was the security service’s fifth successful operation behind the front lines this year as it attempts to disrupt the Russian war machine.
